What are some reasons my cat is like this?

I have 2 cats. One is a pretty average size, the other is overweight. The overweight one eats about average, unless there is extra food in the other cats bowl, then he eats that as well. For a while now, the overweight one has been vomiting. It is not hairballs, it is normally undigested cat food. He doesn't seem to be loosing or gaining wait though. Now a couple times in the last 2 weeks, we have come home and found small amounts of liquid-y vomit in different places in the house. He is 12. We are taking him to the vet this week, but I just want to know what could be the problem.

My Kitty throws up sometimes!?

My Kitty throws up sometimes. It can happen any time of the day. This morning, (he sleeps with me, by my feet), he jumped down as soon as I got up, and threw up on our living room rug. While cleaning, I noticed that the food was almost undigested, some pieces even looked not chewed at all. This isn't the first time he did it. He does it several times a month, sometimes. He is a type of a cat that can eat a feather from a pillow or a thread (if he finds it loose), and he likes to eat fast with appetite. We had him since he was a kitten. I always try my best to hide any stringy items, that he can chew on or swallow, knowing his character. We give him a hairball remedy (like a paste) from time to time, but he still throws up sometimes. He's a big black cat - 18lb, not fat, he's just big. We buy him a Good Life cat food, which has no artificial colors or preservatives, and he likes it. What could be the reason for his throwing ups? Usually, if he eats and then starts running (he likes crazy chases with our other cat, sometimes) - then we know, it's because he upsets his stomach. But, like this morning, he was laying before he got nausea, so it can't be from running or chasing. Does anyone have an idea what is it? He'll be visiting his vet this summer, but I'd still want to know, if anyone had a similar problem, or knows what can it be? I'd be very thankful!!

If the underage person gets into some kind of trouble during that time, it could be considered illegal...because the kids were not supervised. If one of them was of age, then it is far less likely that lack of supervision would be an issue.

I don't understand middle school friends?

Possible Dislocated Knee?

I fell about 5 feet, and when I landed my knee popped and cracked alittle, like three quick pops. I landed with my leg straight and thats why it happened. Maybe I hyper extended the joints or I may have pulled a muscle or I might have a dislocated knee. Im not sure what it is? Should I go to the doctor. It hurts bad and it is difficult to move. It happened today, could it be something I can just walk off and ill be fine in a couple days?

Why am I so tired after a minor operation?

I had a tummy tuck with double hernia and muscle repair 11 months ago. I unfortunately had a bad bleed which resulted in me being rushed back to theatre for an emergency operation to fix it. As my surgeon had to go in quickly it left me with lumps on both ends of my scar. It took me 5 months to feel normal again, even the slightest thing made me tired for ages. I went back to my surgeon 4 days ago and under local he corrected the lumps and the incision was extended by about 2 inches either side.. As the local wore off the incisions became quite painful and I've become totally exhausted ever since. I feel tired all day and although I'm in pain from the surgery its obviously nowhere near as bad as last time and I didn't even have a general. Is it normal to feel this tired after something quite minor?

She is a little over 10 weeks old.. she just went to the vet on friday and had her second round of puppy shots. On Sunday night she began to hack like a cat would when the have a hairball.. she has continued to do this since sunday. this morning when i woke up she was not as playfull but when i got her up to play she would play with me and the cats like normal bark ect.. She is eating and drinking normal however she is still hacking and her nose seemed a little warm? Could this be a mild reaction from her shots?

How can I help out my brother-in-law who is a private in the Army who just found out he is a father?

My brother-in-law is a 20 year old with a mind set of a 14 year old boy. He just graduated from basic and training two weeks ago. He took a paternity test and found out that he is the father to a two month old boy. He has orders to take him to Korea in the beginning or middle of July. He is on leave at the moment but he is running out of time fast. He is in the Army but where he is on leave there is a Navy base around 30 min away. The mother is an absolute train wreck. She doesn't bathe the baby but every three or four days and the baby has horrible diaper rash. The poor baby has open blisters and she doesn't know how to properly change a diaper to keep the baby dry. Well my b-in-law cannot get the mother onto base now because she has no picture ID, no driver's license, or state ID card. She cannot get on base to set up child support or set the baby up as his dependent in the system. (I know alot of this stuff because I am a veteran and I am an air force wife.) He is running out of time fast and I have no idea what advice to give him. I wish there was a way to extend his orders. He found out just last week that this is his child and it is completely the wrong time. Not to mention that he is immature and is not taking the right steps to maximize the time that he has left before he has to report to his duty station! Can anyone give me some advice on what to tell him?!?

1.5 yr old female spayed cat, throwing up yellow& clear and foam?

I have a 1.5 yr old female spayed cat. A month or so ago we switched food -didnt see any problems. We went out of town for 3 days....had our neighbor check on her as normal. A week after our return she pee'd on clothes in a laundry basket. Then she started coughing and throwing up (she did pass a large hairball). We took her to the vet after a day of vomiting. He said she was fine and to call back in 2 days. She never ate and began vomiting bile and foam. We took her back - he said blood work was all fine, xrays showed a small soft mass in stomach which he thought was another hairball. She was given an antibotic just incase, and an IV. Two days later she still wasnt eating so he said he thought she would do better at home. Day one she took her hairball meds, drank and ate. Day two and three she ate very little. She has now stopped eating again... has thrown up 4-5 times - all bile, and foam. Her litter box is much less used. She is the only cat....inside.. no chemicals. Any USEFUL suggestions for when I call the vet back?

You really should take her to a vet for a checkup. Having stinky fur suggests that she isn't properly grooming herself and that's often a sign of illness in cats.

Well, school finished and i'm going into 8th grade. 7th grade was hell. I used to be the small nice kid that most people liked. I had good friends and I was happy. But then this year i was the target of rumors and gossip. So many rumors about me spread this year and everyone thinks there true. For example, one of the ruomors was that i showed a girl my penis. What should I major in for pre-med?

I am having a hard time deciding between history and biology. My cat is not chewing her food?

My cat was a stray before i got her a couple years ago and she wont chew her food. I have taken her to the vet many times already and there's nothing physically wrong with her. She vomits maybe 4 or 5 times a week and its made up of the unchewed food she just ate. Its not a hairball problem and its not her teeth or gums. the vet told me its most likely she is still in competition mode from when she was a stray, but had no suggestions for how to get her to start chewing her food. So my cat has done this a few times. She would suddenly sit there and start to cough up something. At first, i thought she she was having an asthma attack!!! 2 female cats fighting?

I have 2 female spayed cats, Bailey (8) & Lucy (5). They usually get along, but suddenly yesterday a couple of hours after their monthly bath, Lucy has started growl, hissing & chasing Bailey around the house. I can't figure out why & it has continued this morning. Bailey did puke yesterday, but since she had a bath, it was probably caused by hairballs as she is a medium hair cat. The other thing is when Lucy starts meowing after chasing Bailey, it is a cry she uses when she is scared & confused. Why does my cat do this?

I have a 7 year old cat. She is long haired and is normal weight. Every so often (2x a year) she will vomit, and I am not just talking about hairballs here, I mean full on vomiting until bile is present. After she vomits 5 - 10 times in one day she proceeds to hide and growl (which is uncommon for her) At this point we take her to the vet for her routine, which includes fluid injections, anti inflammatory shot, and anti nausea shot. She always gets a fever when this happens. My question is, does anybody else experience this, and if so do you have any solutions, maybe I am overreacting and this is common, but I have two other cats that have never thrown up, so I get very panicky because after all she is one of my babies. I have researched everything online about this and she doesn't seem to have symptoms of any particular disease.

Can my cat get sick from pumpking or from using same litter box as a kitten who has diarreah?

We found a kitten the other day she is about 7 weeks old and has really bad diarreah. Our vet said to give her wet food with pumpkin or yogurt mixed in it and to make sure she drinks a lot of water. We have another cat and she has thrown up and its definatly not the normal hairball barf that we get all the time, but she did get into some of the pumkin before she threw up. Does diet affect hairballs?

My cat has just turned 2 years old. Recently, she has been having a lot of hairball issues. She hacks one up every couple of days and coughs and wheezes a lot of the time. She is somewhat overweight so I have to be careful what I feed her and how much so I switched her from Natural Balance to Chicken Soup light. Since then her hairball issue has gotten progressively worse. I put that greasy stuff in her wet food that is supposed to help. I think it is called laxatone or something like that. I also grew some grass in a little container and give her hairball control treats. She hates the treats though. She is shorthair and kind of independent so its hard to brush her but I can do it if she's hungry. Just wondering if anyone has any tips for this problem.

House Cat Keeps Throwing up?!?

I have an older house cat. She is really nice, but lately shes been throwing up her food non-stop. We tried giving her worming medicen, cut her back on her food like on gave her a little amount. We cant think of what to do. We really dont want to have to go to the vet. and These are not hairballs these are food. Very clearly i know for fact its food.

Dog is Puking up Blood!!!!!!!!!!?

My Roommate has a 3 year old Pomeranian Male,(unaltered) he has been puking off and on for the past few months, she has tried everything! the vet has done xrays,blood work multiple times,fecals multiple times and still nothing. the most recent plan is to feed him nothing but Science diet ID wet and dry food and to leash walk him at all times to make sure its not an outside problem while giving him anti vomiting and diarrhea meds its worked for about 3 weeks but he puked last night and today when we got home from work he puked several piles in his room which were nothing but blood. and he has been refusing to eat but does not act lethargic otherwise. the only things i can figure are hairballs since he obsessively licks his hair, and obstruction in his stomach or something to do with him being unaltered or maybe even fleas (hes on comfortis and heartguard) but i still find dead ones from time to time. any vet techs out there with some suggestion?

It is probably nothing serious. She may just have an upset stomach, or could be constipated, or just generally not feeling 100%. All animals (cats in particular) will instinctively fast or eat very little food if they are not feeling well. They will at times eat certain things to make them purge (thus her vomiting), and then eat nothing or very little until whatever is making them feel uncomfortable goes away. As long as she continues to drink water and doesn't lose alot of weight, she is probably fine. :)

Here is my bad situation. I am 30 years old and I do want kids but I am not married and things with my current boyfriend are not going well at all. It recently dawned on me that we don't have foever to change the world and our ways. Water, electricity and oil are not limitless and i read a book called water wars which highlighted the starlting future thats coming closer to reality eevry day if we don't change our wasting habits. Some really good ideas i was able to conqure up for helping the enviorment off the top of my head are to only use 90% of lights in schools, u know those florescnet bulbs? There plenty bright and would work just as well with one off or one bulb unused and that light thats off could rotate to extend the bulbs lifespan. Also using auto sinks, paper towl dispensers and flushing toliets EVRYWHERE would REALLY help, in one or two places only helps so much but applying them everywhere would make a huge difference, also using low water flow faucets in homes and showers would help a TON!!!! I c water saving faucets in biusness buildings but NEVER in homes. Theres more hoems on earth than biusness buildings. Also a few more ideas are auto shut off lights in homes, etc... Also using a lot less highway lights would help because cars have lights and how much lights do we really need on highways? The last energy saving idea i had was to gradually reduce the sales of the old types of lightbulbs that arent the enerygy efficent ones, and to price the energy effeicent onces cheaper, if we did that i dare someone to try and tell me how its a bad idea. I think my cat is sick! Can you help?

For about a week now my one year old male cat has seemed to be trying to cough up a hairball. I purchased some GNC hairball formula and have been giving it to him, and yesterday he stopped coughing. From the day I got him he's been a sweet and loving cat. Today I picked him up to move him off of my office chair and he started growling and showing signs of aggression. I put him on the couch and sat with him for a few minutes then pet his head. He was rubbing his face against my hand but not moving his body much. Once he was comfortable I ran my hands over him to see if there was any tender spots that could be causing his growling. When I got to his hind legs he growled again, and again when I touched his stomach. Not two hours ago he was on my lap lying on his back demanding a belly rub (I think he's part dog). At that time I checked his teeth, ears, and paws (which I do at least once a week) and everything is fine there. He's been eating and drinking normally, and using the litter box regularly. He is an indoor/outdoor cat. When the weather is nice I let him out usually around mid-morning, and he comes in and out all day at his leisure, and once dark sets in I keep him in for the night. Any ideas? I can't bring him to the vet this week, after I paid my bills I literally have $2 dollars in my pocket and there are no free vet clinics in my area.

My cat does the same thing. She also will eat and 2 -5 minutes later she pukes it all up. Drives me crazy, she has done that forever. I found that if I give her like a nickel size swipe of Vaseline on the floor really helps. She likes it and it is not dangerous for her because it is an ingredient that is in the other horrible tasting stuff. I only use use plain never the ones with a scent. If she hears me open the jar she comes a running. It's a treat to her. Brushing is the best but she hates it.

My 12-year-old cat has been licking/pulling hair out on his front legs and belly for years now. After changing litter, food, trying Feliway, allergy shots, steroids and giving him more attention without results we've pinpointed it to stress. His entire life he lived with my sister and I, but as I moved out and got married a few years ago he was just living with my sister. My sister was not home much and that's about when he began pulling hair (we assumed loneliness). When she moved out and got married, she gave him to me and he seemed less stressed as I was home more but by then it had become a habit. I am now home often and he is given lots of attention and love but still does this. I do have a dog that he hated at first but now they are fine and even play together occasionally. As a result of the hair pulling he vomits up hairballs nearly everyday and I'm worried not only about the stress but the physical toll this has had on him (he used to be overweight but is now somewhat on the thin side). Does anyone know of any other options to break his habit or reduce whatever stress he may have?

How can I fix my CD for a video game that keeps freezing when I try playing it?

I try to play my game, but after a couple minutes or so it freezes all the time in the beginning and my console then says that the CD can't be read. I look on the back and there's no scratches or anything. In the light, instead of seeing lines extending out from the middle (like a regular CD shows) I see wavy rings around the middle, extending. It was like water rings, when something drops into water and creates rings. Except they aren't perfect circles, they're wavy.

I have had a history with an eating disorder, and I wouldn't say I'm the healthiest eater, but I am at a healthy weight and lifestyle. Year old cat with diminished meow & strange breathing?

On Thursday, everyone was gone from the house & when we returned, my cat Kenobi was just laying around and hasn't been as active as usual. When I picked him up, I noticed that his meow was muted. I looked in his mouth & found nothing. I covered each nostril one at a time with my finger to see if it was just one side - and it turns out his wheezing is coming from his left nostril only. Occasionally, he tries to yack or clear his throat and I assume he has a hairball. I've been feeding him high calorie gel nutrients just to make sure he's getting his vitamins. He doesn't feel dehydrated, but this wheezing is really starting to bother me. My mom said he ate a bug Wednesday night, and I gave him a tapeworm pill on Tuesday after I noticed he had worms (which have gone away). On the bottle, it lists no respiratory or heart problems as side effects of the medicine. My vet is two hours away from where I'm staying right now, and I'm just trying to find some answers before I go home on Tuesday. Could nasal polyps develop this quickly? Or is it just a hairball? She was a medium sized adult brown & white tiger indoor cat. She ate dry food daily, and wet food about 3x per week, and drank water daily. I believe she may have been sick because she did meow more lately at night unexplainely even when her food was full. I thought this was because we recently moved to a small one room apt from a 2 bedroom house and was missing the roaming space. Occasionaly over the past few months she would spit up, but I always thought it was hairballs or too much water, because it was basically clear, and she didn't seem distress. I notice the past few days she did not eat her food, only the water. She seemed fine though, no indication to me that she was about to die. I really feel like I failed her. She was my first cat and she made me a catlover and pet lover. This seems sudden to me, she looked so peacefull but it haunts me that I didnt take her to vet or something. Might she of had an infection or something? She wore a flea collar and never seemed to be botherd byfleas or ticks. There were ants in my apartment that I often removed from her food dish. Me and my daughter went to walmart to go grocery shopping. I had drank a large monster energy drink in the car and my daughter was 2 at the time so i still had some discipline issues with her. anyways, all of a sudden I had to pee so bad! so im pushing the heavy cart of groceries and my daughter is walking next to me and I try to get us to the bathroom in the front as fast as I can. Then when we get up there that bathroom was locked for maintenance. (this was a new walmart also so I had no clue where the restrooms were).. so then I try to get her to walk faster to the back of the store because I am literally about to pee myself and she decides that she is going to play the hide and seek game and run from mommy while mommy is pushing a heavy cart, purse in hand, and trying to hold myself without people noticing... yeah, it was a major fail and I totally peed myself. It was just about the worst thing that could possibly ever happen.

i'm renting out the first floor of a building as a restaurant in NYC, the building's C of O is not for a restaurant when it was converted 5 yrs ago by previous tenant. I'm aware of the fact that there is no CO and signed a lease that I would have to obtain the C of O no matter the cost. It's been more than a year and a lot of concerns from the NYC building dept has extended the expected time of completion, but it's almost there and I do expect to complete. Money was spent for renovations and architect fees to ensure the approval from the DOB, inspections have been passed but there are more to go. I was too naive to think that it was alright to rent a place with no C of O. If proper authorities find out that the restaurant does not have a CO, that it is being worked on, but the DOB evicts me anyway, will I be able to sue my landlord for expenses paid for renovations and professional fees invested into the building? How are my chances at actually winning the case?

I fiddled with partitions and now i cant run my netbook.?

okay so im trying to install windows xp from a usb because i have a netbook. i also wanted to allocate some more space for the C: drive because it was using 40gb of space and my D: had 100gb. so i deleted both of the partitions i saw. now when i create both partitions i try to go to the install thing in the menu and it says do you want to format? i put yes then after the windows xp professional set up screen it basically says i dont have enough space. and then it says setup was unable to locate such a drive with the required amount of free space. and when i hit enter it reboots my pc. what am i doing wrong? how do i create the partitions to where i can have more in my C drive or atleast getting my computer back to running again? am i suppose to make a extended? i just want my c drive and d drives back. i also tried making the drive active. please help i just want my netbook to run again.

Don't shave it, it will get a complexion just continue to be help full and loving towards it, if you do shave it it may hate you and hide from you and things just wont be the same even after its grew back cats are very independant and wouldn't appreciate you was doing it for its own good.

We move up to our summer home every May and of course we bring my 11 year old cat, Bitty, up with us. About a day or two after the move this year, I noticed that her meow was rather hoarse and now it doesn't make a sound at all. She is long haired, so at first I assumed maybe she just had another hairball but it's been two weeks and there hasn't been any change at all in her voice, her behavior has remained totally normal though, she seems slightly less hungry but not at an alarming level. The house we are at is at a much higher altitude but I didn't think that would affect it. There are several locust trees on our property so could it maybe be allergies? or even a cold? or should I just go take her to the vet just to be safe?

Should I have surgery on my elderly cat?

My geriatric cat (19) has been losing weight and is very skinny. She has been this skinny for a year. She has had some bouts of diarrhea and vomiting but not frequent. I thought most of it was hairballs so shaving her fur has helped. She seems alert and generally healthy with a big appetite. We've had blood work and Xrays, but show no sign of cancer. However the vet suspects cancer because of her weight. There is a tumor that is in the skin near the shoulder blade that is not attached to anything. We are thinking of having it removed. However, she also has a heart murmur. The odds of getting that tumor out successfully are pretty good but she still may have an underlying cancer, in her intestines for example. We were trying to save her from the suffering of cancer by removing the skin tumor, but it sounds like it's elsewhere too. If it was you would you go ahead with removing the skin tumor?

So on saturday, I'm going to a small town in Florida between Seaside and Destin for a week. My extended family is going to be there, as it is normally a family vacation. This year, however, I am bringing a friend with me. I was thinking about asking my parents to drop us off at Seaside one or two days because Seaside is a little more lively than the small town our condo is in. I'm hesitant to ask for two reasons: 1) it is a family vacation and I don't think they want us to split up and 2) my parent never want to worry about ANYTHING on this vacation and only want to sit opn the beach all day. Treats are supposed to be just that, treats; let's just say it's the equivalent to you eating chips and chocolate bars all day long with no actual food, I'm sure your tummy would be upset too. Try feeding him a bland diet (for his tummy trouble), like boiled chicken and rice, then tomorrow give him his normal food (though don't push the rations)

What to do for cat who throws up constantly?

My 4-year-old cat has had a problem with frequent vomiting ever since I got him 2 years ago. This is way more often than a normal cat would vomit. It always happens within minutes of him eating. He can't keep down any canned food at all, and the mess from that wasn't too fun for me, so he is on dry kibble diet only. I use Iams hairball care formula, but I do not think this is from hairballs. (I never noticed any hair in the throw up.) It appears to be long clumps of undigested food. The most he can go is maybe 3 or 4 days without vomiting after eating and then it happens again. Remarkably, he shows no other signs of illness and manages to stay at about 10 pounds or so, which is normal weight for an adult cat. I even tried feeding him in very small increments several times a day and the results were, if he was going to vomit he would, even from less than 1/4-cup of dry food. Like I said, I have let it go on because he seems very normal otherwise and is not losing weight, but it is very frustrating to say the least! Could it be possibly be food allergies? Sorry for the long post!
