Cat ate sunflower petal and later threw up blood - are they connected?

Sunflower petals are VERY bad indeed for cats. It has a special chemical in it called Strontium Nitrate. Keep her in the house for a few days and see how it goes. I would take her for another visit to the vets. Strontium Nitrate can kill a cat, so be very careful from now on.
