House Cat Keeps Throwing up?!?

I have an older house cat. She is really nice, but lately shes been throwing up her food non-stop. We tried giving her worming medicen, cut her back on her food like on gave her a little amount. We cant think of what to do. We really dont want to have to go to the vet. and These are not hairballs these are food. Very clearly i know for fact its food.
