Allergic to Timothy Hay?

Hello, i am about to purchase a chinchilla, but i am terribly allergic to timothy hay it makes my nose all stuffy and my eyes feel swollen. I am aware that chinchillas need to constantly eat hay. Is there any hay that allergy sufferers have found easier to deal with? or ones that don't cause allergies at all? I've read about bluegrass and Bermuda grass hay, but i am curious if anyone has any experience. Or is there something else i can give my chinchilla instead of hay. i know they don't have a problem with hairballs so maybe i can give them something else to chew on?
